The Association of Healthcare Providers – India, the Centre For Environmental Health, and the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), HCWH strategic partner in India, recently published the report ‘Climate Change & Health. Role of Health Sector’.
Based on the discussions and proceedings of the National Health Conclave 2019 on climate change and health, the report summarizes the available evidence on climate change and air pollution, and their impact on health in India. In addition it proposes a series of recommendations to address sustainable, climate-smart solutions.
The authors presented this report to Dr. Harshvardhan, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, at an event held on November 23 in Delhi.
