For 15 years, hospitals and healthcare institutions around the world have come together through the Global Green and Healthy Hospitals (GGHH) network to show what is possible when healthcare takes action for people and for the planet.
Today, our community spans more than 2,400 members across 88 countries, representing more than 70,000 hospitals. Together, we have helped make sustainable healthcare a global imperative, demonstrating that the sector can, and must, lead by example.
But as the climate and plastic crises accelerate, and the connections between environmental and human health are clearer than ever, our ambition, commitment, and action must grow.
Evolving for a high-impact future
GGHH is about to enter its next phase to meet this critical moment. This evolution will focus on supporting healthcare institutions in deepening their sustainability work, turning commitment into meaningful action, and learning from one another as they address some of the most pressing challenges facing healthcare today.
It builds on 15 years of collective experience and action, and on the belief that we can achieve more when we move further together.
Getting ready for what’s next
As we prepare for this next chapter, our virtual collaboration platform, GGHH Connect, will also undergo strategic upgrades. The platform will be temporarily offline beginning September 17 as our team prepares an improved experience to support this evolution.
More about what is coming next for GGHH, and what it means for our global community, will be shared soon. Stay tuned.
