Global Green and Healthy Hospitals (GGHH) is proud to announce the launch of Community of Action for the Reduction of Emissions (C.A.R.E.), a multi-year initiative that aims at empowering health care institutions to transition toward zero-emissions operations by leveraging education, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
The program was launched in Latin America in September 2024, followed by Europe in January 2025, and Australia in March 2025. Under C.A.R.E., we are building regional communities of practice where health care institutions can meet, learn, and collaborate to drive the transition toward a sustainable, zero-emissions future.
Key activities
C.A.R.E. is designed to adapt to local priorities while maintaining a global vision. Organizations participating in the initiative will have access to:
- Workshops & webinars: Training and educational sessions on key decarbonization topics.
- Networking & community building: Dedicated spaces for members to share experiences, resources, and solutions.
- Resource hubs: Toolkits, case studies, and best practices to support hospitals in their climate action journey.
- In-person events: Regional gatherings in Latin America, Europe, and Australia, culminating in a Global Gathering in 2026.
C.A.R.E. is more than a learning initiative—it is a multi-regional movement. By working together, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another, institutions can accelerate the transition to climate-smart, zero-emissions health care.
