Queanbeyan Hospital and Health Service, a GGHH member from Australia, have submitted a new case study in which they introduce the R.A.W. (Rescued and Wasted Food) Project, which focused on reducing organics in the waste system, reducing costs while meeting clinical guidelines.

England’s National Health Service (NHS) has become the first health system in the world to make a commitment to achieving net-zero emissions. On October 1 they released a brand new report that not only outlines the direction, scale and pace of change, but also provides a detailed account of the NHS’ modelling and analytics underpinning the latest NHS carbon footprint and the interventions required to achieve the net-zero ambition.

Although only a few short months have passed since the 2020s began, it feels like a lifetime ago. The new year dawned with the coronavirus tempest throwing business as usual for most everyone on the planet to the wind. We may well look back at the end of 2019 as the closing out not only of a decade, but of a chapter of modern human history. Yet that chapter, and what we did last year, is still highly relevant in helping us decide how we will move forward.
